Merx is independently owned and operates as a private company. Merx is headed by William Forwood, who founded the company in 2001. The management team is made up of Merx senior staff who also run projects and deliver projects for clients.

The Merx team is made up of Project Directors, Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Cost Managers and Project Administrators.

GROUP

William Forwood Managing Director William is the founder and Managing Director of Merx. Will has been operating in construction and project management for 16 years and has been living in Asia for 13 years. Will provides company direction and manages the Merx Group on a day to day basis as well as being involved with key anchor individual projects and client interface.

SINGAPORE

Nick Price Projects Director Nick has had 13 years project experience in the UK, India & the Middle East and is experienced in dealing with different cultures. Nick is an exceptional capital projects director with extensive experience working on large scale projects in the banking sector. His ability to “deliver” is recognised amongst several large financial institutions along with delivering aggressive programs in unorthodox or difficult environments.

Guy Gilgen Senior Project Manager Guy has five years experience in managing construction projects. Guy has been part of the Merx team and has successfully delivered several projects including corporate interior fit-out and high end residential new-build works. Guy has an excellent client focus and an energetic outlook.

Kua Wei Teck Senior Project Manager Teck is a very well-rounded M&E Manager with a Master qualification in Industrial & System Engineering and Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.  Teck have successfully delivered several projects in Singapore, Hong Kong and Hanoi.

Irene Tan Cost Manager Irene is a professional quantity surveyor with extensive and varied project experience in defining clients' project budgets, running tenders, controlling cost and tracking overall project spending.

DUBAI

Nick Boekel Projects & Operations Manager Nick has an 8 years experience in Construction and Project Management. Nick has delivered several projects including high-end residential construction project, light commercial buildings and mixed development.

HONG KONG

Anthony Hughes Senior Project Manager Anthony has worked in various project environments, including a large UK main contractor. Projects he has undertaken range from fast track fit out for commercial clients, Social Housing Refurbishment to new build college/H.E. facilities, portfolio management, interior fit out, Urban Regeneration Schemes, refurbishment of listed buildings and County Framework projects.
